Vehicle Reservation and Rental Conditions 

• Driver must be 21 or older – for groups of vehicles A, B, C, D, H, G, I, J,K
• Driver must be 25 or older – for other groups of vehicles
• Drivers must hold a full license for at least two years

• An ORYX Rent-a-Car location must be chosen for pick up
• An ORYX Rent-a-Car location must be chosen for drop off
• Choose the group of cars
• Type your discount code if you have one
• Included in price: unlimited mileage, theft protection TP, collision damage waiver CDW and tax
• Not included in price: franchise purchase CDW+, passenger insurance PAI, additional equipment and services (which can be chosen when booking) and petrol.
• Reservation must be made at least 24 hours before renting
• Special offers refer to all groups of cars depending on availability
• Listed prices may include a discount, as well as a change
• Prices vary depending on the season and ORYX Rent-a-Car location
• All rentals may be subject to additional expenses (additional equipment, additional insurances, and petrol)
• We will check whether the required car is available and what standard and additional options could be offered. You can accept the offer. If you do so, you will be required some personal information which is necessary for rental. That makes your reservation complete.

Reservation Change or Cancellation  

After you have made the reservation, you will receive a confirmation with your reservation number. If you wish or need to change the reservation, just choose Reservation Change or Cancellation. As an alternative, you can call + 385 (0)1 2900 333, send a fax to number + 385 (0)1 2900 306 or an e-mail to reservations@oryx-grupa.hr. You will be required your reservation number. 

Pick Up and Drop Off 

• You must submit your driving license, credit card and passport or ID card.
• The car that is handed in is in a good condition and roadworthy, has all the necessary documentation as well as obligatory equipment and a full petrol tank. The user must return the vehicle with a full tank. Otherwise the service of petrol filling shall be charged (200.00 HRK + VAT), as well as the difference in petrol between a full tank and the returned quantity.
• Before signing the Car Rental Agreement, make sure you have read its dispositions which refer to all important costs and insurances you have chosen.
• Examine the car to make sure there are no damages. Only then sign the confirmation. This procedure is essential to determine possible damages during your rental.
• You will be given car keys, a copy of the Car Rental Agreement, a vehicle condition report form and we will wish you a pleasant journey!
• At the drop off, you must return the vehicle with all the documents and equipment you were given at pick up, and in the same conditions and on the location and the date as set in the Car Rental Agreement.
• The vehicle can also be returned when the office is closed and at a different location if so arranged and agreed upon beforehand with ORYX Rent-a-Car employees. Such service will be charged in accordance with the price list of ORYX Rent-a-Car additional services.
• Should you opt for the procedure from the previous point, with or without ORYX Rent-a-Car conformity, you shall be responsible for the vehicle until the office opens, which means until an ORYX Rent-a-Car employee receives the vehicle with the corresponding documents.
• ORYX Rent-a-Car maintains the right to take the vehicle away, without prior notice and at your expense if the rented vehicle is being used contrary to the Car Rental Agreement.

Additional equipment 

Additional equipment, such as children car seat, GPS navigation or TV/DVD player is available with an additional charge, so please let us know about your needs in time. Winter tires are considered obligatory part of the equipment in the winter period, therefore their use is not additionally charged.

Payment and charges 

Payment takes place after the Car Rental Agreement has been completed, and you can pay upon invoice issue, by cash and a credit card acceptable by ORYX Rent-a-Car. We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Card.

Charges are certain amounts which are arranged beforehand between you as a user and ORYX Rent-a-Car as service provider. They include basic rental costs, costs of the additional or optional services which you have been offered and you have chosen, additional costs incurred in vehicle use (such as vehicle damages and our loss because of the damage, traffic and parking fines and their processing, late drop off, pick up, additional equipment, the difference in petrol and filling service, etc.). All those amounts can be found on the current price list below:

• Passenger insurance – PAI: 20.00 HRK / day + VAT.
• Franchise purchase – CDW+: from 40.00 – 100.00 HRK / day + VAT depending on the vehicle group.
• Franchise amount – NWR: from 3,000.00 – 10,000.00 HRK + VAT depending on the vehicle group.
• Petrol filling service: 200.00 HRK+VAT
• Petrol is charged in accordance with the current price on INA petrol stations.
• Additional washing/cleaning of the vehicle interior: minimum 400.00 HRK + VAT
• Filling up with the wrong kind of fuel: 1,500.00 HRK + VAT
• Loss of keys or documents of the vehicle: 2,000.00 HRK + VAT
• Children car seat: 30.00 HRK per day + VAT (maximum 300.00 HRK+VAT per rental)
• GPS navigation: 70.00 HRK per day + VAT (maximum 700.00 HRK+VAT per rental)
• NextBase TV+DVD SDV – portable: 100.00 HRK per day + VAT (maximum 1,000.00 HRK+VAT per rental)
• PACKAGE - GPS navigation + TV/DVD player: 130.00 HRK per day + VAT (maximum 1,300.00 HRK + VAT per rental)
